Welcome to South Coast Shotokan Karate - a registered Dojo of Shotokan Karate International Australia a not-for-profit organisation directly afilited with the Shotokan Karate International Federation. 

We teach a range of karate and fitness elements including sport karate. However, our karate is so much more than just a sport. 

Karate is budo and sport karate is only a part of the complete budo training we practice. Our training retains traditional rituals of karate etiquette including respect, sincerity, courtesy and so on but, also integrates elements of contemporary physical exercise science in our practice of karate-do (way of the empty hand).

Our dojo inspires people towards mastery of this beautiful and alluring martial art. It is also a pathway to self-learning where we help your dreams become reality and support students to reach their full potential.
